Harrington Starr is currently working with a Leading global financial trading company based in the City of London who are looking for a Hands on software enginerr/ Analyst Developer on a permanent basis to join a strong team of Developers working on their front office trading platform. 

As an Analyst Developer/ Software engineer you will be joining a very busy IT Development team, which primarily develops, supports and maintain solutions for financial Trading activity of the firm  This role will gradually lead to a full Manager position after initial term. This role is still going to be a hands on developer role this is going to be a great opportunity for a Mid to Senior developer who is looking to take a step towards a management role in the next few years while still using their main development skills to add value to the business while you gain a real understanding of the systems you will be leading the team on. 

Tech Required: 

  • C#
  • .Net 
  • SQL  
  • Winforms 
  • WPF Architecture 
  • WCF 
  • Trading and risk management platforms (good to have) 
  • Front, middle & back office deveopment

 

Day to day Duties: 

  • Lead by example and work closely with both business and technical team to accomplish various targets set for the team. 
  • Develop new modules, system enhancements or fix bugs for existing bespoke applications written on .NET technologies (C#, VB.NET) on WinForms, WCF and WPF platform. 
  • Database Development using ORACLE PL/SQL integrated with .NET applications.

I am currently looking for a C# .NET Engineer to join my client based in Oxford on an initial 3-month contract with a potential extension.

This is will outside IR35 and offering around 3 days remote (there might be more on offer if required)

This role will involve helping the client develop bespoke applications based principally on C#. You will be working on a range on both private and public sector projects and as such, they are looking for someone who is adaptable and willing to work across a range of projects.

Initially, the project will be WPF heavy but looking at the pipeline there is good scope to work on both desktop and web applications.

Skills / Experience

  • .Net
  • C#
  • MVVM and MVC Frameworks
  • WPF and WCF experience
  • WebAPI experience
  • Angular - highly desirable
  • Azure experience - desirable
  • TDD and Scrum methodologies - Desirable

One stage interview are looking at taking place this week and next with a quick start thereafter.
