Responsibilities

*Design, develop, enhance, debug and implement high quality, scalable and robust software, ensuring both functional and non-functional requirements are fully tested via an automated pipeline
*Adopt and champion core engineering practices including TDD (Test Driven Development), BDD (Behaviour Driven Development) and Continuous Delivery
*Collaborate with architects and product owners to refine requirements. Troubleshoot, diagnose, find and test solutions to issues that arise with software installed
*Experience in managing requirements, creating high level and technical specifications and product development

Essential Skills
Java 7 or above, Java EE 6 or above, high degree of competence in at least one of the following DBs (Oracle, Mongo, Cassandra, Neo4J.)

Enterprise design platforms, integrating with external systems, demonstrate awareness of new trends, excellent skills in research, analysis, planning and implementation.

*Strong understanding of RESTful web services, robust knowledge of source control and continuous integration and release management. Oracle Java Certification (or equivalent development expertise.)

Desirable Skills

*Git/Perforce, server-side technologies (JMX, JSF, JCA Connector Architecture), JPA, Dependency Management (Maven).
*Python, NOSQL technologies (MongoDB, Cassandra, Neo4J), SQL (ideally Oracle including PL/SQL), Spring Boot, Apache Camel, Drop Wizard and Agile methodologies.

Test Engineer required to join an outstanding, award-winning company who are world leaders in the bespoke build and delivery of simulation and training solutions for Air Traffic Control operations. You will perform testing and configuration procedures on software and systems to ensure all errors are identified and corrected before release.

  • Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • To read all the documents and understand what needs to be tested
  • To prepare Test documentation i.e. Test Specifications, Test Plans, Acceptance Test Specifications
  • Based on the information procured in the above step decide how it is to be tested
  • Develop test cases and prioritise testing activities
  • Execute all the test cases, report and record defects, define severity and priority for each Defect
  • Be responsible for defining and executing regression testing
  • To show by testing that requirements are met
  • To comply with Configuration Management requirements, including the version control system
  • To comply with requirements of the company Quality Management System
  • To represent the company during Site Acceptance Testing
  • To represent the company during Factory Acceptance Testing
  • To configure internal test systems
  • To configure end-user systems as directed by the relevant manager
  • To help System Delivery with installation activities when required
