We are looking for an exceptional front end developer to take the lead working on an award winning website. Bringing your enthusiasm and experience with large scale development, you will be using a variety of javascript-based technologies to evolve the platform and provide real business benefit. You will both support and grow the existing infrastructure and have the freedom to try new things.

You will be expected to work with and support other developers with a wide variety of experience, mentor more junior developers, contribute to team planning, and drive architectural discussions, as well as ensure the needs of the department and business are met. *Collaborate with architects and product owners to refine requirements. Troubleshoot, diagnose, find and test solutions to issues that arise with software installed
*Experience in managing requirements, creating high level and technical specifications and product development

Essential Skills
Java 7 or above, Java EE 6 or above, high degree of competence in at least one of the following DBs (Oracle, Mongo, Cassandra, Neo4J.)

Enterprise design platforms, integrating with external systems, demonstrate awareness of new trends, excellent skills in research, analysis, planning and implementation.

This role is full time and pays a competitive day rate. 3 month minimum contract with the very high likelihood of being extended on an ongoing basis from there on in. This role will be inside IR35. Pay rate is between £325 - £350 per day.

  • N-Tier architecture/SOA

  • Understand and knowledge of relevant design patterns

  • Understand of object oriented programming concepts

  • Able to demonstrate experience of building Web Services with WCF
