This is an exciting opportunity to work for an established organisation. Reporting into the Head of Change within the IT team, you will work with the external Web supplier company to be responsible for in-house development of the company's website and customer portal. As a Full Stack Developer with significant web development experience, you will also be provided with the knowledge to learn the bespoke PHP platform on which the portal is based. An ongoing requirement is to also improve the design of the company's website with a need to improve and expand the services available to customers through the portal. Responsibility will include; Leading on architecture design and standards for the website and identifying change considerations of the user base in advance of delivery, and coordination of application design and architecture. Accountability for the development of new and improved functionality on the portal and website. Act as an advocate for the new capabilities being delivered and offer expertise and advice, owning communication plans. Experience of understanding business and technical requirements and developing effective solutions. In addition, you will ensure quality standards and coding standards are adhered to.
The ideal person will have prior experience in a similar role with an understanding of business and technical requirements as well as developing effective solutions. You will be able to demonstrate a broad portfolio of web development using relevant technologies. Have substantial experience developing object orientated PHP using various advanced features, including traits, interfaces, abstract classes, and magic methods. Be familiar with open source libraries for things like handling Excel files and dealing with common APIs (social media, Google, etc.) A high level of HTML5 & CSS3 fluency. An understanding of CSS generated via SCSS using Grunt as a task runner. Experience of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) for image and vector manipulation. WordPress & JavaScript, mostly vanilla ES5 and Jquery, but ReactJS & ES6+ are also desirable. If you are interested in learning more about the opportunity, Then please apply via the link.
