The Council are looking to appoint an enthusiastic & determined Database Administrator who will have ownership of the management of the Council’s Database Systems.

Your new role


As a Database Administrator for Southend-On-Sea Council, you will be responsible for managing all activities related to the database systems. You will be accountable for the delivery of service into the business areas as well as supporting with the planning, documentation and SME input. Your new role will rely on you to create and maintain database documentation as well as using your technical ability to install and test new versions of the database management system.

What you'll need to succeed


Your experience in working within a Microsoft Database Administrator role using SQL Server & SQL Server Data Tools such as SSIS, SSAS & SSRS will assist you with your application. You will need to have a strong understanding of database infrastructure, maintenance, administration as well as a proven experience working with Azure or AWS. Your experience using DBaaS technologies Remote Database Services or Azure SQL will see you in a great position to succeed with Southend-On-Sea Council.

You will show your experience and knowledge using main data manipulation languages such as T-SQL and PL-SQL. Your working knowledge using HTML & Javascript will show huge promise to succeed.

It is essential you have great communication skills with both teammates and customers as well as a willingness to learn, this will have a positive impact on your application. What you'll need to succeed
